This Privacy Policy applies to your relationship with Capitalmatch. It does not apply to the communication that you have with any other individual, entity, investor or other User of the Capitalmatch Website. Capitalmatch has no control over this disclosure or sharing, and is not responsible for it. The protection of your personal data when you interact with a User through the Capitalmatch Website is governed solely by any agreements that you may enter into with the receiving party and is beyond the scope of this Privacy Policy.
Your account
When you register with Capitalmatch, we collect personal information about you in order for you to take full advantage of Capitalmatch’s services and it is your responsibility to inform Capitalmatch of any changes to that information. Any personal information that you provide to Capitalmatch will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Capitalmatch requires your personal information to:
a) Verify your identity;
b) personalise and customise your experiences on the Website;
c) help Capitalmatch manage and enhance its services;
d) communicate with you;
e) notify you that a User of the Website is matched to your Investment Profile; and
f) give you the opportunity to receive information from Capitalmatch about our services.
ID verification
Prior to our introduction of an Entrepreneur to an Investor both parties will be required to confirm their identity using an authorised Document Verification Service (DVS) for assurance and the protection of Capitalmatch’s service.
The DVS is a national online system that allows organisations to compare a person’s identifying information with a government record. Personal information supplied via the Capitalmatch website to the DVS such as; your name, sex, date of birth, driver’s licence number, passport number and other identification details are not saved, retained or stored by Capitalmatch.
Username and password
To become a registered User of the Website, you must provide an email address (username) and password. Each username and password must be used by a single User and is not transferable.
You are entirely responsible if you do not maintain the confidentiality of your username and password. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for all activities that occur under your username.
Security of information
In general, the personal information Capitalmatch collects includes (but is not limited to) name, address and contact details. Capitalmatch undertakes to keep your personal information confidential and secure. Capitalmatch reserves the right at all times to retain and disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request.
While Capitalmatch takes all due care in ensuring the privacy and integrity of the information you provide, the possibility exists that this information could be unlawfully observed by a third party while in transit over the Internet or while stored on Capitalmatch systems or on the Website. Capitalmatch obtains most personal information through the Website registration process. You may, however, provide information through a variety of different means (for example if you contact Capitalmatch via email in any way, including by providing feedback).
Capitalmatch will never:
a) Ask you to provide your bank or credit card details, your address, driving licence or passport numbers via email; or
b) Obtain your credit card details without using a secure browser window with a URL beginning with https://
Payment Information is transmitted securely using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology and processed through a secure third party payment gateway (PCI DSS Compliant). Capitalmatch does not store your payment information (such as credit card or debit card information) on Capitalmatch servers or databases.
Access to your information
You have the right to seek access to the personal information held about you and to advise Capitalmatch of any inaccuracy. If you make an access request, Capitalmatch will ask you to verify your identity and specify what information you require. Capitalmatch may charge a fee to cover the costs of meeting your request.
Updating your information
You may change your username and password and update your personal information at any time by accessing your account located at https://capitalmatch.com/sign-in.
Collecting information
Capitalmatch collects information on our Website visitors collectively including which sections of the Website are most frequently visited, how often and for how long. This data is always used as aggregated, non-personal information.
Capitalmatch utilises this information to improve and enhance our services by monitoring the areas on the Website which are most popular to you. This aggregated information may be shared with Capitalmatch partners to provide them with an overview of how Capitalmatch visitors use the Website. This is done for the purposes of providing you with the best online career management services.
Capitalmatch’s web servers gather your IP address to assist with the diagnosis of problems or support issues with our services. Again, information is gathered in aggregate only and cannot be traced to an individual user.
Capitalmatch uses cookies to provide you with a better experience. These cookies and applets allow you to use specific services such as Job Mail (an alert service which emails your chosen investment opportunities, to remember who you are for Auto Login if you choose this option and to remember your last search criteria for your saved searches.
Users who do not wish to receive cookies can instruct their web browsers to refuse them. However, doing so will prevent access to some areas of the Website and limit your use of some of the Capitalmatch services.
In order to better understand our users, Capitalmatch utilises a third party measurement company, to assess Website traffic. A tracking code is used to collect the following information on the usage of the Capitalmatch Website:
a) The number of page views (or page impressions) that occur on the Website;
b) The number of unique visitors to the Website;
c) How long these unique visitors (on average) spend on the Website when they do visit; and
d) Common entry and exit points into the Website
This aggregate, non-personal information is collated and provided to Capitalmatch to assist in analysing the usage of the Website. This data is also accessible by media organisations and research companies, for the purpose of conducting industry comparisons with other Internet websites.
Email communications
Capitalmatch provides you with selected information about Investors and Investment Opportunities. This service is sent to Users and provides the option of opting out of receiving these emails by changing your preferences in ‘Account Settings’. Capitalmatch may also make you aware of additional products and services which form part of your relationship with Capitalmatch.
As a User of the Website, you will be able to email Users who are matched to your investment profile via the Website communications systems. You should be careful when making contact with another User and providing comment. You are responsible for all communications in which you participate.
Capitalmatch reserves the right to refuse to publish and or remove from the Website any email or comment that Capitalmatch, in its absolute discretion, considers defamatory, unjustified, inflammatory, obscene, mischievous or unnecessary.
Our emails and notices do not represent any guarantee or endorsement of your transactions. Capitalmatch does not, by allowing any email or comment to remain on the Website, endorse, concur with or otherwise comment on the content of that email. Any emails and comments are made by the user that places them on the Website and not Capitalmatch.
Website links
Capitalmatch provides links and passes online application to third party websites. The use of your information by these third party websites is not within the control of Capitalmatch and we are not responsible for the content (including the accuracy, legality or decency) or privacy practices of any linked website.

All inquiries, feedback, suggestions, ideas or other information any User provides to Capitalmatch concerning the Website will be treated as non-proprietary and non-confidential. This feedback will be used to administer and refine the service and may be shared with Capitalmatch partners either in aggregate form or with specific identifying characteristics removed.
You agree that Capitalmatch may reproduce, distribute, transmit, create derivative works of, and publicly display any materials and other information (including ideas for new or improved products and services) that you submit to any public areas of the Website (such as bulletin boards, forums and newsgroups) or by email to Capitalmatch.

Investment Opportunities displayed on the Website and communications between Users are not considered to be feedback and suggestions concerning the use of the Website and Capitalmatch claims no right, title or interest in such Investment Opportunity or communications.
